/Cancer PR News/ - Cleveland, OH, June 29, 2008, Gregory Videtic, MD, CM, FRCPC, Staff Physician and Residency Program Director for the Cleveland Clinic, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of healthcare.
Dr. Videtic has 22 years of experience in his profession, the last four spent with the Cleveland Clinic. He is considered an expert in treating patients with thoracic malignancies and on a daily basis is responsible for clinical care and conducting research. He became involved in his profession because of his desire to help others and attributes his success to his hard work. The Cleveland Clinic is a medical center that provides healthcare services for cancer patients.
In addition to completing a fellowship at the Detroit Medical Center at Wayne State University, Dr. Videtic took part in another Fellowship at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at The University of Western Ontario, London, Canada. He completed a residency at the Dalhousie University Faculty of Medicine, a residency at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, The University of Western Ontario, an internship with the faculty of medicine at Dalhousie University, completed coursework with the faculty of medicine at McGill University, and holds a Bachelor of Science from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was a Former Chief Resident of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the London Regional Cancer Center, Ontario, Canada.
His dedication to excellence has earned Dr. Videtic numerous awards and honors. Some include, but are not limited to, America's Top Oncologists by the Consumers' Research Council of America, the Innovator Award from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, the Outstanding Abstract Award from the 11th World Conference on Lung Cancer in Barcelona, Spain, the Teacher of the Year Award from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, the Teacher of the Year Award from the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology, the ASTRO Travel Award from the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the Graduate Study Award from The College of Family Physicians of Canada, the McConnell Medical Bursary Award from McGill University, the McConnell Entrance Award from McGill University, and the German Study Award from the Werkstudenten Program of the Federal Republic of Germany. In the next five years, Dr. Videtic hopes to advance lung cancer treatment programs.
